Late M.K.O. Abiola’s wife announces intention to become Lagos state governor

Mrs. Modupe Onitiri-Abiola, one of the wives of the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential elections has announced her intention to enter into politics and contest for the post of the governor of Lagos state. She, however, did not mention the party’s platform on which she would contest.
Mrs. Modupe Onitiri-Abiola, according to report, says if she becomes the state governor, poverty eradication would be the focal point of her administration.
