The home where Arnold Schwarzenegger had an affair with his housekeeper has finally been sold, after the scandal that took place within its walls kept it on the market for two years.
The 10,000-square-foot villa in California's Pacific Palisades, which sold for $12.9million, boasts nine bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, a large swimming pool and a championship-sized tennis court.
Mr Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver lived on the 2.48-acre property from 1986 to 2003, according to Forbes, during which time the former California governor had an affair with Mildred Baena, and subsequently fathered her child.More after the cut...

The Mediterranean-style home, which went on the market in 2011, sits at the end of a long gated driveway, lending it plenty of privacy.
It is located right next to the Will Rogers Historic Park horse trails and polo fields, which can be accessed directly from the grounds.
Photos of the property show the outdoor area, which features a geometrically-shaped swimming pool, a large patio and sprawling gardens.

The grounds are surrounded by lush woods and colossal palm trees.
Inside, the home is classically elegant, with white walls, marble floors and an abundance of natural light.
The entryway opens up onto the living room, where white furniture and a grand piano are scattered throughout the room.

Judging by the space and layout, the home is ideal for entertaining guests and large parties.

In the kitchen, a long marble breakfast bar has enough stools to seat five, and the kitchen table - a huge rectangle of carved wood - seats eight.
There are also plenty of spaces for occupants to lounge around, including a room off of the kitchen which features a bright red L-shaped sofa facing a fireplace and a mounted wide-screen television.

There is little evidence that the actor and his wife were parents to four children, apart from one bedroom whose pink walls and cloud-covered ceiling give it away.
Stuffed animals line the walls of this room, and a sign that reads 'Girls Rock' hangs from the wall.
More suited to adults is another bedroom in the house, with beige walls, dark wooden floors and a large bed surrounded by a canopy.
This room comes complete with a private terrace, a wide-screen TV and stately white armchairs.

In a slightly funkier bedroom, a leopard print carpet lines the floor, and the ceiling-to-floor windows appear to look out onto the tennis court.
Exposed beams lend a rustic charm to this space, and a small kitchenette which includes a fridge and microwave suggest that it may be located within a guest house.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's extramarital affair with Ms Baena, as well as their illegitimate son Joseph, now 15, was publicly revealed in May 2011.
The Terminator actor claimed in interviews that he himself did not know about Joseph until the child was eight years old.

Mr Schwarzenegger and Ms Shriver are parents to Katherine, 24, Christina, 21, Patrick, 19, and Christopher, 15.
While the couple announced their separation on May 9, 2011, there have been recent speculations that they may have reconciled.
According to TMZ, he told a German newspaper in January: 'We're not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria.'
