Since she got the franchise to host the beauty pageant last year, Aisen, who owns Beth Model Management, is set to launch the Miss Nigeria 2013 edition. This time, in a new dimension.
Organised by the African Times Network
(formerly Daily Times Nigeria), the franchise empowers her to act as
the chief executive/creative director of the pageant. She took over from
former beauty queen, Nike Oshinowo.
Also the organiser of the Elite Model
Look, Nigeria, Aisen has altered the show format. Last week at a
ceremony where she unveiled 36 contestants for the pageant, she
explained that unlike previous editions, contestants for Miss Nigeria
2013 will now represent their individuality and not the various states
in the country. In addition, only 21 of the 36 semi-finalists for the
pageant will compete at the grand finale in July.
The pageant organisers have also put
together a reality TV show entitled ‘The Making of a Beauty Queen.’ It
is a novel idea and seems to be getting public applause.
