Another Nollywood actor’s marriage crashes

Comic Yoruba actor Tayo Babatunde Bernard popularly known as Baba Tee’s marriage to London based writer, Yetunde Oduwole has reportedly collapsed.
Reports have it that the couple, whose marriage is barely two years old parted ways due to irreconcilable differences.
Baba Tee was recently a guest on a local TV station, TVC, and whilst answering questions on his marital status he denied his wife on National TV saying he has never been married and even showed his ringless finger to confirm it.
It was gathered that Baba Tee has stopped putting on his rings to events, as he has been spotted without it on numerous occasions recently.
According to close sources, the marriage was doomed from the beginning as Yetunde, a divorcee and much older and wiser woman, was not the right choice for the young man.
However, those who know the actor well, labeled him as a liar because his London based lover, Yetunde Oduwole is well known to his friends and family.

It's been a long time since the Chief Executive Officer of List Entertainment, Mr. Sunday Are spoke extensively on major industry issues. The former Manager of the defunct Mo’Hits Records broke his silence in a recent chat with Rasheed Abubakar of Encomum Magazine.

He opened up on life after the shocking break-up that scattered one of the biggest Record Labels in Nigeria and other issues that many do not know about. Read the interview below:

Being a veteran artiste manager, how has it been?

The only thing I can say is I am working and I have not stopped working because it’s a job that gives me joy. I have passion for my job. I love the job and that is why you’ll see me at some event, not because of the money but the passion. Beside, my core work is field work, which is setting up stage, sound and light until when I diverted into artiste management. In fact, I prefer to be addressed as a stage manager than artiste manager because that’s my foundation.

For instance, I coordinated all the artistes that performed at the launch of Mo Abudu’s EbonyLifeTv and Dare’s "Love Like A Movie Concert". I paired Pa Victor Olaiya with 2face, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey with M.I, Elegant Stallion Onyeka Onwenu with Omawumi and King Sunny Ade with Wizkid for tight rehearsals in my office during the EbonyLifeTv lunch. It was a tight concert and I feel honoured for such events. Honestly, I still want to do my stage management work even though I still love managing artistes because it’s something I love doing as well.

Governor Chime of Enugu State confirms detaining his wife...in her interest

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has confirmed reports that he is keeping his wife incarcerated, but that he is doing so in her interest.

“I wanted the best for her and that’s why I pleaded with the doctors to have her treated at home,” he stated during a press conference in Enugu.  “That’s also why I allowed her access to her telephone and laptop which unfortunately led to the stage where I’m now being falsely accused of imprisoning or detaining my own wife.”

Offering an explanation about his decision, the governor said, “My wife has some medical challenges and it would be very unkind for me to talk about her condition on the pages of newspapers,” the governor said at a strange press conference in Government House. “I’ve done everything to protect her integrity and I’m not now going to expose her to ridicule because some people want to exploit her situation to drag me into a needless war of words.

Davido’s bouncer reportedly gets involved in club fight

Rumour has it that singer, Davido was  involved in a club fight which had allegedly left about seven people badly hurt and property damaged. According to a witness accounts via Twitter, shortly after performing at the Colourful World of More Concert held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Davido and his bodyguards had gone to party a club called the Nu Grotto, located at Victoria Island, Lagos. I have heard and seen some folks rants about me stealing production credit for Wande Coal's new single "Baby Face" and I would like to clarify this issue. I was only doing my job by making the beat for Wande and that's what I did. I don't see any reason why people should jump into quick conclusions without taking their time to really dig into the matter for facts.

Two years back, I remember I created a demo for Wande Coal's "Shawty Go Low" and someone else took the credits. I was in shock because I had plans to finish the song with Wande and was hoping it would be released as a single which I produced. Here is the link to the original version of "Go Low"

"Hold my husband responsible if I die" - wife of Enugu governor tells NHRC

In a petition to the commission, Mrs. Clara Chime accused the governor of an abusive relationship that has led to her suffering from depression, adding that the governor has locked her up in a room and denied her access to her four-year-old son and visitors.

The petition of the governor’s wife read:

“I have been married to Governor Sullivan Chime for five years. It has been a somewhat tempestuous relationship, which has virtually irretrievably broken down in the past couple of years.

“We do not have a relationship anymore and the situation inevitably led to my nervous breakdown. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and at some point was quite suicidal.

“The strategy of my estranged husband is to subject me to the most horrific and intolerable of conditions to cause my demise but my strength and will to live has kept me alive. It is very difficult to outline everything happening to me here but I shall enumerate the major issues below:
